first attempt

Apr. 11th, 2008 10:10 pm First week -> Mission accomplished

Woah, so, the first week of my second semester has flown by... like Dean accelerating the Impala, so sorta quick.

And my conclusion to this week is: LOTS to read, like, FAR TOO MUCH to read, like, REALLY, REALLY HEAPS IN HEAPS to read...

I think I already spent at least 55€ just on paper in the copy shop and the scripts' shop. Oh, and on minor books...

Hm, I'm not so lucky with my DAP2 prof, she's like, I donno, explains maths like to year 9 students and at the same time expects everyone in the course to know everything from DAP1 by heart - which is pretty weird since at least one third of the students in that course never attended DAP1 and never will, because they don't study computer science and just have to pass one of the two courses. So, really, really strange woman, she is...

BUT my English teachers so far have been pretty cool. Most are even funny, though one is slightly weird, a little nervous maybe, and I'd say that there's a very fine chance he's gay. SO, here my personal reasons why I think he's gay:

*#* teacher   ---   Ok, harmless reason, most aren't gay, but it fits the profile somehow, so it's in
*#* the muscles   ---   Damn, he does some serious workout
*#* his clothes   ---   Like tight tissue trowsers, tight shirt >>>tucked in!!!<<<
ok, the sneakers don't match, alright, his whole outfit doesn't really match, but it's still very gay
*#* the way he talks   ---   hm, so he hasn't said fabulous yet, but, really, it's not far gone

Yeah, MAYBE I'm exagerating here, but well, it's what I thought. Like, if I compared him to Mr. Jones or Mr. Piskurek (bout the same age).... he's gay :D

Oh, and I've decided on which sports I'm gonna do this semester. Well, and figured out which of them I'm actually able to attend and fit into my horrendously overfilled timetable... So there's:
- football on Mondays
- trybal style dance on Wednesdays
- jazz dance on Fridays
I'm really excited about the trybal style dance, cause I've never done anything like that before. And I'm glad I can attend the football practice, because I couldn't last semester.

So have a great weekend everyone! I'll spend it READING, and probably READING, maybe some READING and eventually I'm gonna meet up with Swantje on Sunday and try out archery (Swantje does it regularly). Hm, and on Monday I'll maybe manage to go to Ikea and finally buy a mirror for my room etc.

have fun,
Anna

P.s.: I know I haven't posted regularly lately, but Jeez, I think that was one of my longer entries^^

Mar. 28th, 2008 10:45 am Hiho^^

Yeah, still alive, though I've been down with a really bad case of tonsillitis, I'm back on my feet now!

Ehm, so I still haven't managed to write more on any of my fics, still haven't managed to make that HP rec list I wanted to, but...

... I watched two seriously awesome German movies! Usually, I'm not that excited about German movies, cause I often don't like how they are shot, or their story or whatever, but those two are just plain awesome!

First one to go: Wer früher stirbt ist länger tot (who dies earlier is longer dead), bavarian language is really weird^^ at the beginning I was thinking about putting on the sub :D Anyway, the movie is awesome.

Second movie you absolutely HAVE TO WATCH: Männer wie wir (men like us, though the English title is Guys and Balls)
German Trailer , English Trailer (they have different scenes, so go and watch both^^)

Ecki is a goalkeeper. Unfortunately his team looses an important game (they blame him) and they find out he's gay. Needless to say they kick him out. Then Ecki starts his own gay soccer team for a revenge match in four weeks.

Let me say, that gay soccer team is most awesome^^, but the film is not hilarious or ludicrous.

Yeah, so have fun, I'll start to organize stuff for the next semester (begins faaaaaar too soon to my liking),
Have a nice weekend,
Anna

Mar. 1st, 2008 05:22 pm warning for stomach ache from loughin

Woah, so Jensen's birthday obviously helped while writing my exam this morning.
I think I did really well, unfortunately I didn't see exercise one, which was on the first page and I thought it was just for marking!
Well, stupid me, but it was only 2 points and so far I'm not aware of any other mistakes yet...

Ehm, and, obviously I wasn't online, nor have I been reading or responsing to any posts, because of my exam, because I've been power studying the last two days... Yap, still a late-studier...

Ah, and now for the fun: (thanks to my friend Isabel!) Jimmy Kimmel was awesome!
YOU HAVE TO WATCH THIS!!!

OMG, I'm still loughing about that, it so so cool!

And this evening I'm gonna go dancing^^ after-exam-party or whatever ;D

Feb. 16th, 2008 11:19 pm still alive^^

Yeah, so RL got me cought up in its net^^ But I'm still alive :D

Jensen in Australia, so much goodies^^ So reminds me of my three months stay in Sydney... I wanna go again!

And it's true, what those Ozzies tell you: Everyone who's been there once, wants to come again!

Cause I can't save a none-livejournal-page to my memories, I'll just paste the ling of the channel 10 interviews here:
http://ten.com.au/ten/supernatural-video.html

Oh, and have I mentioned I've past maths with 1.3? Oh, I'm still so happy about that, because I really was one lazy son of a b....
Like, people started studying so early and I? Ok, I had wanted to start studying on Thursday - unfortunately I stumbled over that HP fanfic, which had 46 chapters. Unnecessary to say I didn't start studying until Saturday morning, because I couldn't stop reading that fic.
So Monday morning I was really supprised to find the exam was really easy, well, ok, still an exam and not THAT easy, but easily managable.

Well, the last days I've been working a lot in the bookshop, as I will next week.

Oh, and I was at my old school, I'm gonna do my school practicy there, 4 weeks from mid August to mid September - actually the day before I'll go on holidays to Croatia ;D I'll actually be teaching some lessons^^

Ok, I wish you all the best!

Nov. 29th, 2007 08:57 pm

I just came back from a guest lecture by the US general consul of the area about prejudices against the US - let's say I really expected more.

I wrote the paper I've to hand in about it and I think it's pretty negative as well...

It's just, I know we don't know about everything that's going in the US, but surely his excuses were so so lame!

Like, hm, this one point about the prejudice, that "Bush is a too strong believer to be a leader of a country", skipping the fact that it's not a problem that he's religious, but that he doesn't seperate between his believe and state affairs. He argued that other presidents before him have been even stronger believers and that Clinton mentioned "Jesus Christ" more often than Bush does. ???? What? How does that have to do with it? If a murderer says "oh, this person killed ten more people than I did", does it mean he's off the hook, or what???
I don't see that happening. He himself said that Germans seem to have had problems with all US presidents, well, guess why.

In the end a girl asked him about gay marriage, refering to this religious prejudice thing. Oh, I'll just paste that part:

Mr. Boice deliberately chose to talk about prejudices he wanted to point out as myths, so he chose not to talk about the prejudices (or major aspects of the ones he talked about) which are quite possible true. Asked about the conditions in Guantanamo or gay marriage during the question time at the end, he weaseled his way out by interpreting the questions to his liking or using the excuse – as he did before during the lecture - that it's the same in Germany, e.g. suggesting people are voting CDU for their Christian ideals, which - again - doesn't make it better either and rather emphasizes that Bush does indeed make laws regarding his Christian ideals. Asked more precisely about the conditions in Guantanamo he said, it's better than in 3rd world countries - again I can't see how that changes the fact that human rights aren't cared for.

Yeah, so he was quite the republican as I imagined them to be: twisting half-truthes, and always avoiding the important questions.

Nov. 28th, 2007 10:01 pm *sob*

and today I've been crying again...

Ok, nothing bad happened, I just watched the movie "Whale Rider" and woah, that really got me close to being called *waterfall*, I could just barely hold the rivers in.

It's about Maori life and so on... It's just really emotional and moving. A movie you should most definitely see if you haven't done so yet.

Puh, and I just read this wonderful SN HP crossover, atm it's really my most favorite story! Ehm, I'll just paste my comment:

Yap, you should so so definitely read it ! BTW the S/D is really, really little and nothing graphic above kissing.

Thansk to comm spn_german LJ user xkatjafx for reccing it!!!

Nighty!

Oh, I kinda hate Tuesday, they are the worst and busiest day in the week for me...
I'm totally exhausted and still have to read about 50 pages and write an index card for my course tomorrow morning...

So, this evening, no movies, no fanfic, no fun...

Anyways, I totally enjoyed watching that scene from Ten Inch Hero!!! So, so, so cool!!!
I hope they find a distributor for the movie soon.

Have a good week,
Anna

Nov. 12th, 2007 10:37 pm SQUEEEEEEEEEEE ^^ birthday present running late

Oh I hate it!

I'm totally tired and I totally have to get up early tomorrow and take the train to Dortmund University, but I still want to read...

Today I ordered Witch's Canyon, so when I get back on Friday I've something waiting to be read^^

Oh, and did I mention, how I haven't got my brother's birthday present yet???

Yesterday I went and asked my Dad: Can we print good pics - like poster quality?
my bro: for what?
I *squirmish*: you know, I really don't have ONE poster of SN yet...
he: oh no, you can't! no, seriously!

And I think, he's totally annoyed by my SN obsession or something.
And then he goes like: You know you still get a present?
I'm looking totally dumbfounded...
He continues: you know, they haven't delivered yet - from America.

And I: totally sqeeing^^ giving my brother big fat hug, cause though he's totally annoied by my SN obsessiong bought me a SN poster - even if it's not here yet...

Hiho^^ I'm totally exhausted
(ok, eesia's last days sound worse than mine, at least I had some fun^^)

Hm, yesterday turned out to be a really great evening. Around 11pm it got full, lots of people wanted drinks, we had some drinks ourselves and around 2 o'clock finally we could go.

Seriously, some people really just party every week... I wonder what they study, or when they study, cause if you study anything including maths? you wouldn't party all day long...

Ok, anyway, I left with that Dutch dude^^ I really can't remember his name, and that annoys me plenty, but he had a nice body and he was nice (though he first tricked me into believing he was from Norway^^ I totally fell for it) and I stayed over at his place, which is actually just in the neighbour house.

So this morning I was kinda tired for maths lecture at 8am, but yeah...

I've just had some cereals for dinner and I'm gonna relax some.
Hm, the latest Heroes episode, I really donno what to think of everything, like, if I like it or if I don't... Weird...

Have a nice evening everyone,
Anna

After having been totally lazy through the whole of yesterday today was all work...

So I read those texts I'm supposed to read for studies about the Caribean and shit!

I nearly had to vomit! I mean, I've read lots of cruel stuff, I guess I've even watched a lot of crass stuff on tv, but this one text really was so full of cruelties... I mean, I'm German, and you always here about how that was the biggest genocide ever. But when the Spanish/Europeans got to the Caribean, in the time of 40 years they slaughtered between at least 11 to rather 15 million people!!! And nobody talks about that. And how horrible that was how they... I can't even repeat that.

Ok, so what else did I do, Maths and I cleaned the bathroom, like a total sweap of the cupboards and everything.

Yeah, so I feel:

Oct. 18th, 2007 08:27 pm Happy me^^

Yay! Today my aunt's parcel arrived!

Ok, for explanation: during the weekend I was at my uncle's wife's 50th birthday and I met my aunt from Munic (the really nice aunt who's paying my tuition fees ;D ) and she asked whether I need stuff for my new flat at the university. And I went like, "Yes, actually everyone can look through my windows, so curtains would be nice" ;D and so now I've got some^^

They have a nice pattern, but I can't really describe it. Next weekend I'll definitely try to remember to bring my dad's digicam so I can take some pics.

Oh, something really funny I Kroki-Refur posted (so I guess it's friends-locked and you've probably seen it on your FL as well, but, just in case you didn't click it, do it now! It's hilarious!): http://kroki-refur.livejournal.com/164549.html

I've just done half of my Computer exercise and now I'm really done for the day.

My shortest solution for Nr. 3:

EA.println ( (i+1) %2 ); *LOL*

good night,
Anna

Oh, I have to get rid of that story:

Today in maths lecture, I open my laptop to look up some stuff.

--

AND

--

Suddenly I get tipped on my back, I turn aroudn, "Was that Supernatural on your desktop?" I go, "Yeah?"

And she's TOTALLY a Supernatural Fan^^ Yippieh^^ So, instead of listening to the prof we talked about "The Kids are alright" and blah, blah and suddenly the lecture was over, but man, I enjoyed it plenty ;P

Really, what's the chance??? (in Germany!)

Oh, I was so damned, cause first of all on Friday was a major strike and just very few trains actually drove and that really sucked, since I had to get home, and secondly - which really bugged me plenty - I came home and the internet was out of order!!!
So, I couldn't download SN, which REALLY pissed me off. BUT, my big bro came by just 2 hours ago and now I've watched SN and I'm all happy again^^
In a few hours I'll go to my aunt's 50th anniversary...

Monday is the big day, first day of the semester AND the big welcome at Dortmund stadium, the football team will be there as well.
I'm still thinking about wearing my Gladbach tricot, but some Dortmund fans might get pissed ;P

Anyway, plenty to catch up on the internet, plenty to look forward to as well, so, happy weekend ;D
Anna

P.s: Non spoilery: SN s03e02 rocks!!! I sooooo loved that ep!

My dear fellows, I'm extreamly fatigued.

Or let's just say, I'm fucking tired and exhausted!

Ok, the whole weekend was pretty exhausting, what with working and my step-sis' 18th birthday and all the visitors and with oh-it's-been-nearly-two-months-go-have-some-work-out and getting a hair-cut and getting back to Dortmund...

But today topped it all. I got woken at quarter to 9 by my phone - Maxi called and asked me to attend her lecture, because her train was late and they were going to tell which lectures she will have to attend to in future. So, I hurried and went their, until she arrived - and went back home.
Next call 10 minutes later: in a quarter of an hour we'll be there with your bed *yippie*, so finally I got my bed (which I still have to put together, but anyway, it's here).

Then I went to have lunch with Maxi and directly after I went to the meeting of the anglistic's students government, which was pretty much for nothing, since I already knew everything they had to say. Except the fact, that it is better to study all of Modul 1 in the first semester, which I'd like to do, but unfortunately the whole bunch of offered themes for Modul 103 suck - suck plenty - except one "Football Fan Culture in Britain", which of course I can't attend because of my computing lecture. ;(
AND the lecture on Allen Ginsberg is deleated and leveled up to a main lecture for the semester 5 onwards, so I have to take another one, I decided on Billy Joel, sounds the best so far.

Yeah, so, I've managed to put my name on three lists and just applied online for two other lectures, which I hope I'll get into on my fave group and time and now I still have to install my bed and I really, really don't want to, even if the matress looks all fine and much better than my air matress... Oh, I have to do it anyway, so now it is.

Have a nice week and I'm sorry I didn't reply to your posts,
Anna

Oh, holy shit! SUPERNATURAL ROCKS !!!

s3e1 was just awesome! And DEAN! Kripke told us he'd go and live his life to the fullest, but DUDE!
And Sam, he's so pissed...

I think, that's no spoiler, like, we all know he'll be pissed, I mean, I knew before, I just didn't know how awesome it would look on Jared ;P

I'm really exhausted from watching...

AND I think I managed to get my roommate to watch Supernatural ^^ and she got me to at least watch a few eps of Greys Anatomy, since she says it's awesome.

Ok, have to go,

Anna
